The power factor corrector is designed for active filtering of network current. KCM brings the phase shift between the current and the voltage of the source to zero and forms a sinusoidal shape of the current consumed from the mains. The KCM is an intermediate link in the circuit of a switching power supply, connected between the output of the input rectifier and the input of the voltage converter.
